Resolutions

I’ve never been one for New Year’s resolutions, but I do like to think of goals for the year. My key, though, is that once I write them down, I forget about them. XD They are usually things I am working on anyway, so I just keep doing what I’ve been doing.
For nearly as long as I’ve been making New Year’s goals (I started in high school), I’ve written, “Get published” as one of my goals. At some point in adulthood, I stopped writing that because I realized I wasn’t ready. Instead, I’d just put things like, “Write for fun” or “Finish writing a book.”
Well this is the first year I can actually check off getting published on the list! Yipee!! Or at least signing a contract. Actual publication will be 2021.
I also like to write a letter reviewing the past year. It’s a fun way to keep memories and to remember things that happened so long ago in January.
So this year, instead of making resolutions, consider writing a year-in-review letter or making a few goals that are achievable.
So long 2020 and welcome 2021!
Happy Writing!
